Irda said that vehicles without valid pollution under control certificates (PUC) can not be insured. By announcing a notification, all the insurers have refused to insure vehicles that do not have a valid PUC. Vehicle insurance is renewed every year. In this context, after the Supreme Court order, Irda took this step.

If this is not the case then the action can be taken against the owner under motor law. The Ministry of Road Transportation has ordered all the insurance companies to distribute the details of each vehicle's deteriorate which has been insured.
